Intrinsically safe hearing protection and communication headset for Class I, Division 1 hazardous areas

The Pepperl+Fuchs SM1P series headset (from the ecom Instruments mobility line, built on Sensear SENS® technology) lets workers in loud, hazardous locations talk face to face, over a two-way radio, or on a cell phone without removing their hearing protection. SENS® speech enhancement and noise suppression separate speech from background noise, so users stay aware of alarms, machinery and co-workers while being protected from harmful noise.

The SM1P pairs over Bluetooth® with two-way radios and ecom intrinsically safe smartphones and tablets, and supports cellular calls and audio streaming. Built-in short-range FM communication with VOX lets crew members talk headset-to-headset at up to 50 m (approx. 160 ft) with no radio required.

Choose your mounting style:

• Behind-the-Neck (SM1PEWISPF01 NAM, P+F item 70110931): neckband earmuff, ideal with hard hats that have no accessory slots
• Headband (SM1PBWISPF01 NAM, P+F item 70110935): over-the-head band for general use
• Helmet Mount (SM1PHWISPF01 NAM, P+F item 70110936): clips into the accessory slots of an industrial hard hat
