Shipping Policy

Where we ship
Online orders can be shipped to addresses in the United States and Canada. For delivery to any other country, please contact us at support@reliabilitydirect.com or (214) 238-0493 for a shipping quote before ordering. Some products are subject to export restrictions; see our Terms of Service.
How orders ship
Reliability Direct works with a network of manufacturers and distributors, and many products ship directly from the manufacturer or an authorized distributor rather than from our Buffalo location. As a result:
- Orders with items from different manufacturers may arrive in separate packages with separate tracking numbers.
- Lead times vary by product. Where available, the product page shows current stock or the estimated lead time. Built-to-order, calibrated and special-order items may take longer, and we will let you know about any delays.
- Tracking information is emailed when each shipment leaves the warehouse.
Payment
When you place your order, we place an authorization (a temporary hold) on your payment method for the order total, including estimated shipping. After your order ships, we charge the actual amount due, up to the authorized total. Any unused portion of the hold is released by your card issuer, which can take several business days. For items with longer lead times, payment may be captured before the order ships. See our Shipping & Billing Terms for details.
Shipping charges
Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and the weight and dimensions of the items ordered. Because many items are large, heavy or ship from multiple locations, the shipping amount at checkout is an estimate.
By accepting our Shipping & Billing Terms at checkout, you authorize us to adjust the shipping charge if:
- the actual package weight or dimensions differ from our listed data,
- the order requires freight, multiple shipments or special handling, or
- a customer-supplied carrier account is invalid, declined or missing.
If the actual shipping cost exceeds the estimate by more than $50, we will contact you to approve the difference before your order ships.
Using your own carrier account
You can have your order shipped on your own UPS, FedEx or other supported carrier account by providing the carrier name, account number and the billing postal code on that account. You can also save your carrier account to your customer account once your first order has been processed. We verify the account against your company information before shipping. There is no handling fee for orders shipped on your own carrier account. If the account cannot be validated or the carrier rejects it, we will ship on our account and bill the shipping as described above.
Free shipping on SKF products
SKF products ship free to addresses in the United States and Canada. The discount is applied automatically at checkout. For orders that include other brands, free shipping applies only to the SKF items.
Canada and international orders
Customers outside the United States are responsible for all duties, taxes, brokerage and customs fees, which are not included in the product price or shipping charge. Delays caused by customs clearance are outside our control. Refused shipments may be subject to return shipping and restocking charges.
Freight and restricted items
Heavy or oversized items may ship by freight (LTL). Please make sure someone is available to receive the delivery. Liftgate, residential, inside delivery or appointment charges are billed at cost if required. Some items, such as batteries, adhesives and paint markers, are regulated as hazardous materials and can only ship by ground or other permitted methods.
Damaged, lost or missing shipments
Please inspect your shipment on arrival. Note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt, and contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with photos. Shipments are FOB shipping point; we will help you file a claim with the carrier and work with the manufacturer on a repair or replacement. For shipments billed to your own carrier account, claims are filed by the account holder.
Address accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address. Carrier fees for address corrections or reshipment caused by an incorrect address are the customer's responsibility.
Questions about a shipping charge
Questions about a shipping charge must be raised within 30 days of the charge. We will provide the carrier documentation for any adjustment.
