Measure Vibration in terms of Velocity and
Acceleration Enveloping
Overall Velocity vibration is an excellent
measurement parameter for determining rotational and structural problems
such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness and stress applied to
components. Acceleration Enveloping measures higher frequencies usually
associated with bearing problems and gear mesh.
Measure Temperature
Temperature is measured by a unique
sensing magnet to detect and signal temperatures values outside of the
acceptable range. Temperature measurements enhance the "early warning"
benefit of the instrument by offering a useful indication of mechanical
condition or the load applied to a specific component. As a bearing or
lubrication fails, friction causes its temperature to rise.
General Alarm Capabilities
The MCD is easily programmed for six
alarm settings. When measurements are taken, they are automatically
compared to six user-defined settings. The MCD's alarm indicating LED's
react appropriately and indicate Green if OK, Yellow for 1st Level
Alarm, and Red for 2nd Level Alarm.
