Mechanical Condition Detector Kit CMVL-3600-IS-K-01


The Marlin Condition Detector Pro IS (MCD) is certified Intrinsically Safe (IS) for Europe and North America. The rugged unit is certified for use in hazardous environment.

 

 

The MCD provides a simple but extremely effective means of checking the health of a machine, measuring vibration and temperature to assess its operating state.

 

By putting MCD into the hand of plant or maintenance personnel, the frequency of checking can be increased, warnings can be received earlier and plant condition experts can be freed to focus only on specific problem areas.

 

Measure Vibration in terms of Velocity and Acceleration Enveloping

Overall Velocity vibration is an excellent measurement parameter for determining rotational and structural problems such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness and stress applied to components. Acceleration Enveloping measures higher frequencies usually associated with bearing problems and gear mesh.

 

Measure Temperature

Temperature is measured by a unique sensing magnet to detect and signal temperatures values outside of the acceptable range. Temperature measurements enhance the "early warning" benefit of the instrument by offering a useful indication of mechanical condition or the load applied to a specific component. As a bearing or lubrication fails, friction causes its temperature to rise.

 

General Alarm Capabilities

The MCD is easily programmed for six alarm settings. When measurements are taken, they are automatically compared to six user-defined settings. The MCD's alarm indicating LED's react appropriately and indicate Green if OK, Yellow for 1st Level Alarm, and Red for 2nd Level Alarm.
