The SOUND TRAP1000 operates on the principle of detecting high
frequency ultrasonic waves which are created by friction from all moving
parts, liquids, and gases. These "sounds" reside far above the
range of the human ear and tend to be highly directional. This
directional aspect isolates a suspect signature sound from other
background noises and detect its exact location. The Sound TRAP1000 can
effectively be used for investigating Air Leaks, Gas and Liquid
Turbulance, Electrical Discharge, and Mechanical Wear. Use in
conjunction with a sound generator to detect seal leaks in containers,
door seals, and compartments.
